Art and Nature
Since the beginning of the history of art, nature has been a primary source of inspiration for artists.
Our connection to our environment is a fascinating and endless subject that touches many areas of human existence and psychology.
Elements from nature can appear in many different ways in art as a realistic representation of a place or object from the environment. the artist attempts to trace a certain natural phenomenon through his works and gestures as a material or object.
In recent years, there are more artists integrating art and nature into their work, in both physical media and meaning. by use of natural materials, and urgent ecological issues, such as the climate crisis, many artists feel compelled to help paint a change in our world.
In The Community
Las Casas del Arte cultural center in a unique area empowers the entire region through the development and exposure of local communities to the arts. We welcome artists worldwide, specializing in nature-inspired creations that promote environmental preservation.
Selected artists will engage in workshops, lectures, and performances. They will also have the chance to showcase their work at our annual international environmental art festival in Costa Rica.
Join us for a diverse art festival celebrating music, film, photography, dance, and more. It is the culmination of year-long activities, featuring international guests, concerts, and workshops.
